Location
The PC-Pools of the Economics and Computer Science ("Pohlig-Pool") are situated in the so called Pohlighaus on the 3rd floor. (Room No. 307 and 309), furthermore there is a SUN-Pool in Room No. 311.
Business hours
On a regularly basis the PC-pools are opened Monday till Friday between 9am and 5pm. For some reasons there could be different opening hours. So please have a look at our actual infos.
User accounts
If You want to work at the "Pohlig-Pool" there is the necessity to apply to an user account. It will be valid for half a year and can be opened (or reopened after becoming void) by the student supervisor in room 307, if You show him Your valid student-card (of the University of Cologne). After half a year You get a system-message which means that time is up for reopening Your account. In case You don't do this, there is a good chance in loosing the data in Your /home-directory! Please remember this!
Print charges
We're sorry to mention it again, but printing in the "Pohlig-Pool" is possible only with an adequate coupon! (Available at the Office for data processing at the Faculty of Economics). The actual print charges are (per page): laser printer € 0,05 , color laser printer € 0,20 (on standard paper).

There are manuals available for most of the software used at "Pohlig-Pool". You can borrow them depositing Your student card while Your stay at the pool.
