• Since July 2000 I am working on the project ALCOM-FT . The ALCOM-FT project is a joint effort between ten groups in algorithms research in Europe. The aim of the project is to discover new algorithmic concepts, identify key algorithmic problems in important applications, and contribute to the accelerated transfer of advanced algorithmic techniques into commercial systems.
• I had been working on the project Rotationsplanung im Flugzeugeinsatz, which was a joint project with Lufthansa Systems GmbH, Frankfurt that was financed by the Bundesministerium für Bildung, Wissenschaft, Forschung und Technologie (BMBF) (the german ministry for science). The scope of the project was to develop algorithms for (provably good) solutions of aircraft rotation problems.
