I studied computer science at the Universität Dortmund. Since 1990 I was research and teaching assistant in the group of Prof. Dr. Ewald Speckenmeyer at the Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf and at the Universität zu Köln. Here I finished my Ph.D. in January 1996 (Thesis Page).

Since April 1996 I am working in the group of Prof. Dr. Michael Jünger. In his group I am working in the area of parallel computing.
