Here's the list of more than 170 FAI users, that had
answered the questionnaire.
- FAI for Solaris is an older
version of FAI that supports Solaris. We have
installed more than 20 different SPARC machines with Solaris 9 using
FAI. This code is not longer maintained.

HPC2N Opteron Cluster Sarek is a
192 node dual AMD Opteron cluster that was listed at rank 168 in the
top500.org list in june 2004.

A 10 node dual-CPU AMD Opteron 1.4GHz called RAVANA with
pictures.

An IA64 cluster is listed on place 354 in the Top500.
Lucidor is
probably one of the first IA64-clusters installed using FAI.

The HPC2N Super Cluster Seth
with 120 dual Athlon nodes. This cluster was on the 94th position in the top500.org supercomputer list in june 2002

16 node dual AMD 1.8Ghz Beowulf cluster for database and distributed systems research

FAI on linux for SUN Sparc

Several clusters
at Matsulab of the Tokyo Institute of Technology are
installed using lucie, which is a mixture of FAI
and some other tools like ganglia, nagios, dolly+ and others. Most FAI
tasks are rewritten in ruby and
but have the same functionality. They installed following clusters with
lucie: Presto I, Presto II, Presto III, OBI Grid Cluster
- The Working Centre Linux
Project also uses FAI for its installation and has some
documention concerning FAI.

A cluster with 64 dual CPU Opteron nodes was installed using FAI at
the Geophysics section of the Department of Earth and Environmental
Sciences at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich, Germany.
